INDIGENOUS ENGAGEMENT
Our mission is to be a leading Project Manager on building & infrastructure projects with particular focus on indigenous employment outcomes in remote communities, as partners with Government and Commercial Clients.
YINDI PROJECTS specialises in remote and indigenous projects, specifically matching the requirements of a project affecting land owners with long term legacy benefits to those affected communities.
Having successfully delivered numerous infrastructure and building projects across Australia and the Pacific, our unique approach is to develop and implement participation strategies for remote and indigenous communities to improve capacity and quality of life in these communities, and have dedicated much of the past decade to these outcomes.
Working in PNG
YINDI PROJECTS provides unique support services to resource ventures in PNG seeking to engender land owner support for and participation in projects as part of impacted community benefits.
Ranging from establishment of capacity building programs to the establishment and mentoring of complete land owner umbrella corporations, we have achieved enviable success in aligning project needs to community aspirations and delivering these outcomes.
Working in Nauru
As part of the Australian Government border protection initiatives, YINDI PROJECTS was the Project Manager for the construction contractor selected to construct permanent and semi-permanent facilities as well as community school, utility and educational infrastructure to support the offshore refugee accommodation project.
Being the third largest employer of Nauruan Nationals and refugees on Nauru, the $530 Million construction project transformed the initial tent accommodation established by the Australian Army into comfortable accommodation for refugees and support personnel plus created much needed community infrastructure for all Nauruan residents.
